DCE for Techiman North in the Bono East Region, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson has emphasized the urgent need for intensified campaign on HIV and AIDS following an alarming rise in reported cases within the District.
Speaking in an interview with the Media after making this revelation at the first ordinary meeting of the Techiman North District Assembly, Adom Johnson cited that data on the District Assembly’s HIV Desk from the Health Directorate reveals a dangerously upward trend in HIV infections in Techiman North.
He urged assembly members to take proactive steps by promoting awareness and education in their respective electoral areas to help curb the spread of the disease because a healthy population is the greatest asset of any nation.

The first general assembly meeting of Techiman North District brought together stakeholders to review developmental strategies and reaffirmed their commitment to improving the welfare of residents of the area.
Hon. Adom Johnson highlighted plans to implement the President John Mahama-led NDC Government’s agriculture-related programs aimed at boosting local productivity and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
