The Public Relations Officer for Alliance Drivers Union,Mr Kwaku Boateng has said,the government autonomously forced all driver unions to reduce transport fares to correspond with fuel reduction.
According to him,the driver unions have intended to increase fares by 20% since prices of goods and products remains as it is despite cedi appreciation.

He feature explained that 4% reduction of fuel price by the government do not resonate 15% reduction of fare imposed on them.
The government has neglected their sacrifices and goes ahead to impose 1gh energy levy.
He added,there should have been stakeholders engagement to suggest debt restructuring that will not incur additional burden on the people.
furthermore,he reiterated that,prices of pumps have been increased.He suggested government appointees must answer questions as to the cause of energy sector debt.

Therefore,he proposed that the government can spread the taxes on goods and products rather than milking the drivers.
He also suggested on cut down of government expenditures in order to settle huge debts.
