The Member of Parliament for Sunyani west,Hon.Millicent Yeboah Amankwah has announced plans to renovate Mantukwa M/A Basic School located in Sunyani municipal of the Bono Region.
The MP visited the school on Monday may,26th 2025.to witness the extent of the damage caused as a result of a heavy downpour some weeks ago.
the MP’s initiative is backed by financial support of 200,000 Ghana cedis which will be used to undertake comprehensive renovations of the school’s infrastructure.

Hon. Millicent Yeboah Amankwah told Kaakyire Afari on May 26, that out of the amount,Archbishop Duncan Williams, general overseer of the Action Chapel International ministry is Donating 100,000 Ghana cedis to aid in the renovation of the school.
The Sunyani West MP revealed that both the Municipal Assembly and the MP’s official account have been depleted, with zero balance in the bank account,making it difficult to renovate.
Thus,she has taken bold steps to renovate the school aimed at improving the learning environment for students in Mantukwa and its areas.
Hon.Millicent Yeboah Amankwah expressed deep concern over the poor education level of pupil,notably, a pupil she met who can not express eloquence at English.
The MP Lamented struggling with basic literacy,which is a major setback to their academic progress

However,the MP pledged to prioritize education in the constituency and work tirelessly to improve the quality of education.
The MP emphasized that education is key the development of the constituency highlighting to establish an education committee to oversee student’s education.
