A Non-Governmental Organization, CARD-Ghana, in collaboration with IOM, has engaged the people, chiefs, elders, and District Coordinator of Awiakrom in the Dormaa West District.
The meeting aimed at empowering the community to improve their livelihoods through agriculture.
The Chief Executive Officer of CARD-Ghana, Alhassan Hudi, explained that the intervention was designed to support farmers and strengthen agricultural activities in the area. He said the organization is committed to helping rural communities become self-reliant.
Nana Kofi Saa Ameyaw, speaking on behalf of the Chief and elders of Awiakrom, welcomed the project. He expressed appreciation to CARD-Ghana for choosing the community and pledged the support of the traditional council.
The Assembly Member for Asuofin East, Hon. Adama Aziz, also thanked CARD-Ghana for the initiative. He assured the organization that the community will work hard to ensure the success of the project and achieve its intended purpose.
